As a leader in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, or other Christian church, you have a very great and important responsibility.
You have been called to minister to and counsel with those under your stewardship.
Sometimes those you are called to help will bring you significant problems.
These may include:
- Depression
- Anxiety
- Marriage Problems
- Addiction
- Pornography
- Same-Sex Attraction
These problems can be overwhelming, especially if you have not had training or learned tools on how to address these difficult issues.

As I met with Church leaders, I found a desire to learn more tools to address these issues.
I wanted to help.
My name is Mike Frazier and I’m a BYU and UCLA-trained Christian psychiatrist. I am an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
I created a course with the help of Bishops and other Church leaders to give you some of the tools that I learned in medical school and residency.
The course is called Counseling 101.
What you’ll learn in the course are tools and techniques that are professional-level, time-tested, and consistent with the Gospel.
As you counsel, the most important thing you can do is to follow the Spirit.
This course will give you tools and techniques that the Spirit can “bring to your remembrance” (John 14:26).
Inside you’ll learn:
- How to help change depressed and anxious thoughts
- How to ask about suicide
- How to encourage your members to share with you
- How to watch for and report abuse
- How to understand pornography addiction and its effects on husband and wife
- How to calm down the body’s response to anxiety
- How to help stop conflict and start connection in marriages
- And much more!
Again, this course is free for all leaders in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and other Christian churches.
